Most independent dealers should be able to unlock these...

If you don't want to search the town try: Samsung unlock by cable | Samsung unlock by codes - Simlock Remote Server , 'Think, Save $, Unlock'

The do unlock by IMEI or by cable...

You will need to charge the battery somehow, if that went flat... Then just flash as normal. It's unlikely that you've damaged the boot on a Tocco Lite (oddly enough it's called the Star here) - Give it a go!!

Here's a video tutorial: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQDXZPvLB_g"]Guide to upgrade firmware for samsung star (S5233A/5230) [Only multiloader part] by Anas Shaikh - YouTube[/ame]

Attached is the correct Downloader tool.

          How to the flash:
1- Battery Full (charge in another phone if possible)
          2- Flash File(s)
          3- USB Cable
4- Put Samsung in Download Mode: Press VOL + CAM + powerON
          Attached Files

Thanks Jim, phone will not turn on, and i can only charge the phone with the usb cable. Problem is that it does not even show the phone charging now, so im guessing ive damaged the boot/boot file. I was only going to use this phone as a second phone, its brand new, a replacement for one which died completely. Is there a way to repair the boot files ? Guess i should of fully charged the phone first, but then again, im finding it hard to find the correct firmware for it, so that might be the case. Any idea's, many thanks.

Just noticed that the firmware i have to fhlash the phone is called same as one in your vid tut. Im sure ive ruined the boot files.

EDIT : Phone actually went into the DOWNLOAD screen, so looks like i can flash it. Though im having to charge from the USB, phone is flat.

Can someone please point me to the correct firmware for a tocca lite UK model, thanks

You will need to identify the exact model!

                There are:

                S5230
                S5230A
                S5230G
                S5230R
                S5230K
                S5230M
                S5230W

                Plus

                S5233
                S5233A

                The list goes on!

Google your model and when it comes to firmware:

S5230XXIDF is unbranded but the XX indicates Eastern Europe as does XE. Ideally you are looking for S5230XA**** prefixed files.

You can flash with XX or XE files but your language choices will not be the normal ones... However, English will still be there but the phone may initialize in Russian for example!

Any file beginning S5230J, S5230C or S5230B will be branded in one way or another, so look for S5230X files!

Sadly, all of my sites require a dongle to access them!

Sounds like a flat battery to me!

If you can see the Download screen, it will flash!

Unless you used the wrong flash files (from another model) and ignored all error messages to overwrite the boot, then the phone is quite easily recovered. They are almost as forgiving as the BlackBerry handsets.

The fact that you are able to get into Dowmload mode tells me that the boot is OK.

Most dealers with a NSPro or similar tools, will both flash and unlock it for you.

Im beginning to think your right, flat battery. The download screen only comes on now and then and goes off after 4 seconds. Im tempted to go on ebay and buy a battery now, as this battery will not charge for some reason. Would a bad flash stop it from charging thru the usb port on my pc. And you couldnt point me to a decent firmware for it could you, cheeky i know, but i cant seem to find the right firmware

The battery will not charge without the phone software functioning. We use external chargers to get around this problem, it grips the battery and charges it outside of the phone.

You can try here: http://firmware.javer.sgh.ru/ but I know there are no XA files here... At least it'll get the phone working!

You might try this: Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: S5230XPKB1.zip

It's a generic European version: Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: S5230XPKB1.zip

The link is from SamMobile.com | Everything for your Samsung Mobile | SamMobile I have no idea if it needs a password for the ZIP but if it does, try 'www.sammobile.com' as that's what they usually use!

Ahh right, so thats why the phone will not charge. I think what happened was i thought the phone was charged and i tried to flash the phone, the phone went off and would not reboot becasue it did not complete the flashing of the firmware. Ive ordered a battery from fleabay so hopefully it will have enough charge in to reflash the phone. Have downloaded some software off those links, thanks so much. I shall let you know how the phone is as soon as the battery comes and i try to flash it. Its a brand new phone, shame to give up on it and bin the thing. Hoping i can give it a new lease of life, it still have celophene on it, thats how new it is,. Thanks for your advice, i will post back as soon as i have some news

Most generic batteries I have in stock here are between half and near full charge, which should be more than enough to flash the device. It only takes a few minutes to do as it's USB... Some of the New Nokia's fully flash in under a minute start to finish!

Come back if you still have issues...
