hi is it possible to unlock this phone for free, it's locked on T-Mobile. If not could you point out where I could get it unlocked for a cheap price as it's as old phone don't want to spend too much. cheers...

Nothing for free.

If the software version is below V50 then it's an BB5 handset that can be unlocked in a shop for around ?10. If the software version is above v50 it's SL3 and not an easy phone to unlock.

To find the software version type *#0000#

Check on ebay first if it's below v50

Then it's on the earlier SIM protection, that is good.

thanks not having very much look on ebay or elsewhere wherever ive looked they don't support this phone and the ones that do charge too much.

Take it into an independent shop. If it is BB5 SL2 then anyone with the Microbox, Pheonix, Universal box or MXkey can unlock it. You should be looking at ?10-?15 to unlock.
