Hi Everyone,
I have an Alcatel 282 one touch. It is a very basic phone I bought for my husband just for basic calls to and from.
He has done something to it and now on the screen there is a message SIM LOCKED SOS ONLY and the only option available is to ring the SOS and that is emergency assistance so am not wanting to do that!
I have rang my service provider and from their end the sim is not locked. Proved this by transferring it to another handset and it works fine. Also put another sim in the handset (same provider) and that sim comes up with the same error message.
The problem seems to be with the handset. I have searched online for possible solutions but not having any luck as yet .
It is NOT anything to do with the PUK code (which I have) as it isnt asking for that.
Any ideas.
