To unlock a Huawei modem you just need to insert a non-accepted SIM into the device, it will the ask you for the unlock code. In some cases branded dashboard software has been doctored to stop the code being asked for, in this case just download and install the PC version of Mobile Partner.

The Huawei code writer software is really only used on the E220 and code calculation does not work on these!
