Samsung has officially announced the release of its first eco-friendly solar power mobile phone. According to official news, the solar charging panel is made from Post Consumer Material, which means the base material was extracted from recycled water bottles.
The solar handset supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual band HSDPA networks. It has 3.2 Mp camera with smile shot and face detection features. For wireless connectivity it has HSDPA and Bluetooth.
The device, including the charger, is made with unharmful substances, in short, the mobile phone does not contain any Brominated Flame Retardants (BFR), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or Phthalate.
The 3-inch capacitive touchscreen solar mobile phone will first launch in Sweden followed byFrance, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal and other European and Asian countries.
