Hi, I am also facing the error "App Error 523 reset" on BB curve 8520. After I click reset BB begins to start. At start time, it shows "uncaught exception index 4>=4" then screen changes and BB start showing "verifying security software" and then again it shows "uncaught exception index 4>=4". After few moments, it automatically starts and shows App Error 523 reset. In all this process I didn't press any key.

Any idea guys???.. much appreciated!

Have you tried doing an update via blckberry desktop manager?

As stated by teerak2uk update via BB Desktop Manager and all will be well...
