Free codes are not available for Sony Ericsson handsets. Which model is it? If you want to do-it-yourself have a look at D-Ultimate Unlocker, but it will cost you for the unlock credits.

Other than that I'm not sure for DIY.

I unlocked my daughters cybershot with software I found by google search. It is possible to do so search when you can.

If I find the software I used I will let you know which it is.
