    TYTN II screen freeze

For the second time in the last two months my TYTN II screen becomes wierd and freezes..In that situation nothing helped( soft, hard reset, new image etc.).
The only thing that actually helped is old pc monitor with cathode tube inside (tytn II set against pc monitor and then turn monitor on/off - electrostatic electricity).

My question: Is it dangerous to wake up HTC's frozen touch screen in that way and is it time to sell my HTC?

Whe you say 'nothing helps', do you mean it doesn't turn off then back on. Or that it still has the same problem when it comes back on?

If the latter you might want to look at the ribbon between the two halves of the phone. If there's even the smallest of cracks across any of the tracks it can cause any number of problems. Although unlikely, it might be the static discharge from the CRT is causing a spark across a crack. This is dangerous for the phone.

But as you can see in the link, their not exactly cheap.
