    T-Mobile Pulse (Huawei 8110) Debranding?

My wifes phone is a Huawei 8110 Android on T-Mobile, AKA T-Mobile Pulse Mini.

Is there anyway I can reflash it with unbranded firmware?

Maybe it's not need to reflash for debranding. Try the GSMcity forum. If you post your IMEI they can calculate unlock code for you.

I'm not worried about the network lock, it's on a 2 year contract with T-Mobile anyway. I'd just like to get rid of the T-Mobile menus and logos.

You might want to send Jim a PM. Not sure if Lusephur is still around, but he's really good with the Android phones.

          Hi Mate,

I know with my HTC desire, I just needed to make a 'Goldcard' from an SD card and flash it with open market software. Didn't need to root it or anything.

Not to sure if this is common practice on all android handset, or was specific to this particular model, as I'm fairly new to Android, having just bagged a HTC desire and Samsung Galaxy S!

I'll have a scout around and let you know if I come accross any useful info.

Just had a look on Modaco, It appears you need to use superboot, to gain root access, then install a custom recovery image, then you can install custom ROM's (seems to be a few knocking about on there).

            have a look here:

            T-Mobile Pulse Mini - PulseMini.MoDaCo.com - Android @ MoDaCo

seems quite straightforward if you follow the instructions.
