Galaxy tab

Just wondered if anyone has the Sami galaxy tab and if yes what you think of it. Got mines comming today but it's for Xmas. Looking for some tips for it and is it relatively safe to root it?

Hi. I had the enjoyment of playing with the Tab some nights ago. I will say I found to like the 7 inch screen. I thought the 7 inch would be too small of a size vs. the Ipad. But after using the Tab i found it doesnt play all flash. Its seems to only do basic flash media so most games and other flash uses are out of the list. It wouldn't even do basic flash rendering in email web pages such as Yahoo mail. which I found very disappointing. Also I kept pressing one of the buttons by mistake in wide mode just by holding it.

I did all the tests found on this link on the Tab. The Tab was about the same as the IPAD in rendering. Also it doesnt seem to hold any internal memory. You need an external micro card (32gig max) card for it.

I decided to hold off for the BlackBerry PlayBook

I had a quick read up on this last week. And I must say I'm a little disappointed with Samsung.

It would appear that Android 2.2 isn't setup for tablets & needs some tweaking. A later update should solve the minor issues. I would expect flash support to be improved with each Android update.

But I still wouldn't buy an Ipad. The only reason I would look at the Galaxy Tab is because it's still a fully functioning phone.
