Payasyougo phones from Nokia online shop

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section... using tapatalk and having lots of trouble...

Is anyone aware if the Vodafone pay as you go phone from Nokia online shop is unlocked... I was under the impression that it would be unlocked/simfree like carphonewarehouse... however the sales person said they are locked..

Can't think Nokia selling locked phones... and they are just saying so folk buy simfree for that purpose for extra ?60...

    Please advise

I'm guessing that they will not only be locked but Vodafone branded as well...

Why would they not sell locked phones? They make them for Vodafone already...

just wondering caz Vodafone shops dont do the Nokia C3-01's and thought they are just saying that its locked to sell simfree phones at higher price..

I have asked two reps at nokia phone line nicely and they said its locked and that I should get a simfree phone..

guess only way to find out is to buy it and test and if it doesnt work, just return it..

thought someone would have experienced it..
