blackberry 9300 no internet?

hi just wondering if anyone could help as i dont have a clue.
ive just bought a blackberry 9300 was a mates upgrade from o2 ive put my tesco sim in and all seems ok as i can make calls and recieve so i take it its unlocked but when i click browser it wont go online. is there a way round this. any help would be appreciated thanks kade

blackberries need to have a special type of data services enabled on your line for things like BBmessenger , email, internet services and other such gubbins to work, get onto your service provider and tell them you've now got a blackberry and they'll sort you out.

<EDIT> You may have to pay a little bit more on your contract for these services

For a contract it's normally ?5 extra per month for Blackberry data services.
But you may be able to get it added for free depending on your current internet addon.

For prepay on O2 you will need to pay ?17 per month (might be ?15). This will give you a call & text allowance with blackberry unlimited internet.
