    Hi guys,

I'm considering getting a new ET9500 receiver, does anyone know of a reputable uk supplier of these that has them in stock?

Thanks blue flash, but they have no stock left.
Leaning towards the vu+ range as the et9500 seems unavailable except from Netherlands
Reading about the duo and ultimo to see if ultimo is worth the extra ?150ish

In all honesty what is the price tag on the 9500? Is it worth it? Its still just a twin tuner receiver.

I own the 9200 (twin tuner) and would I upgrade to the 9500?.... no!

Better spec but I very much doubt that its going to be put to use, yes it looks nice on paper or a comparison but that is all.

I find my 9200 a great receiver but for instance if my Dreambox Clone SE was a twin tuner I would ditch it in all honesty.

Next month or two I am going to buy the Vu+ Ultimo and hope I dont regret it because its basically the same image teams available as there is for the the Xtrends.

What I do love about clones (bought from the right chinese source) is the build quality is great, clone DM's have a huge variety of images...... Vu+ clones dont count here in my opinion. DM clones do and anyone that trys to say theres more images out there for a Vu+ receiver or a Xtrend receiver are talking rubbish.

Treknology I would say go for the Xtrend 9200 or the Ultimo..... although I cannot see any of them being used to there full capacity. So go for the duo, if you want to say you have that better spec go for the 9200, 9500 or the ultimo.

I will go for the Ultimo but just for the 3rd tuner and just to put it through its paces.

Hope this is of some sort of help.

Look forward to hearing your opinion on the Ultimo Garry.

As for the ET9500, if it eventually replaces the 9200 I would imagine that the price will price will drop also. It would then be quite a good option.

                Thanks for the replies....

The ET9500 at ?359 is ?40 more than the ET9200, but an Ultimo is ?90 more than the 9500.
While the 3rd tuner may be nice, the large vfd display on the Ultimo appears the only other difference compared to the 9500. So to spend an additional ?90 is hard to justify

I too look forward to reading your opinions of the Ultimo Garry

Be a wee bit away yet mate for those opinions but personally my advice if anyone asked wither to go with the ET9200 or the ET9500 I would say the ET9200.

I am the same with the views on the Ultimo is it really worth the money. But I want to find out .

Got it from the guys at sat-shop. Would definately recommend them to anyone.

In the end I went for the ET9500 and so far very impressed with it.
Trying different images now to find one that's easy for wifey to use :-)

Yeah you wont go wrong with the ET9 range mate. Personally id a saved some cash and went for the ET9200 exact same images etc.

Same time I am one to talk I could have went for the ET9000 and saved some money but went for the ET9200 at the time. So would have done the same to be honest, I know if I was making the purchase the now I would go with the ET9500 even though I know the ET9200 will do the exact same job but the spec looks good on paper. But cant see it getting used although ideal for those that like a lot of plugins not a concern of mine I have a few that I must have and thats it.

                      Enjoy your new receiver mate
