Humax Foxsat HD freezing and dieing

As per the thread title, the box has a tendancy to freeze and stutter the programme, then turn off, blank screen on the telly and is stuck in standby until turned off at the power. Iv been using the built in freeview tuner in my telly for a couple of weeks, but im missing HD etc. Any idea what the problem is, or do I need a new box?

P.s. the problems started after some lightning, possibly the cause?

lightning can be dangerous how many people have surge protection and sat and cable protection.

yeah sounds like the lighting ~~~~ed the psu
