recording built in freeview tv channels

I was wondering does anyone know how to record built in freeview tv onto a dvd recorder gettin sound but no picture cant figure it out as everything seems to be connected up ok. Do i need to get some kind of connection leads to get thr freeview onto the recorder?

How have you got it connected up now?
Whats the tv/recorder etc you are using?

got it sorted in the end mate ,thanks it was for a friend of mine still not sure how ,changed the dvd settings think thats what it was, cheers
