    sky dish

    hi guys

ive been useing a sky dish pointing at 13e working fine,
now then I want to conect a duel LMB from maplins to the dish, would this work with the sky dish as I asked in the shop and they said that it wont work
I was thinking about making the dish motorized but dont think it would worth it for just 19e and 13e

if you have a zone1 45cm mini-dish then it wont work but if you have a zone2 65cm dish, or an old 60cm "s*y analogue" dish., depending on your location then you could use the mono-block pictured for reception of 19.2e and 13e using 13e as the primary focus. zone1 "s*y mini-dishes" are really only any good for the very powerfull birds at 28.2/28.5 east although ive seen one thats used for the french terrestrial channels at 5w without any problems. regards mdt p.s. there are cheaper places than maplin for lnb,s ect.

      hi there

I think its the 45cm as its not as big as my new sly dish,
would I have to buy a holder too use the mono block or would it fit onto the holder that is in the dish already

if your other s*y dish is the 45cm zone 1 type then its to small for a mono-block (its not really big enough for hotbird either) but if its a 65cm zone 2 dish then you can get a 6 degree mono-block and swap the lnb over but you might need a lnb adapter if the lnb and bracket are 1 piece. regards mdt
