homeplugs?spiderplugs for spiderbox

I have 4 netgear access points with a lan socket each ...

what i am thinking of doing is upgrading the kids rooms from free view to errrr free sat

With the amount of electrical gear they already have ie: games consoles/laptops/tv's ect ect am looking for a neat and tidy solution ... so if i only need 1 plug at the router end it sounds like the option for me.

Have to give the wife a break now that we are legal on the broadband the 4 Yagi antenna's have been taken down and sold off so want to stay in the good books for a while.

When i was out of work last year i sold off the 1m dish and motor ... am now looking at doing a multi lnb set up ...

i can her the moans already

Thanks its a scam but im someone with very little knowledge of technology sounds great but i wouldn,t know where to start. Hopefully this is my last question on the matter or maybe i should have started another thread? But anyhow can does anyone know where is the best place to purchase the spiderbox with good aftersales help if needed. Thanks everyone for your replys all of which have been helpful many thanks.

If you look on you tube there is video tutorials on there what will show you step by step how to flash the Linksys WRT54G router...I followed one of those Tutorials myself and it was very easy. Look here for a example

i thought if it was possible to have 1 plug the routers end connected to say 3 in different rooms ... that would be ideal

other wise i already have some netgear access points that can go in each room ... just wanted a tidy option to keep the mrs happy

Ps ... some times its the little things that mean more work for us ie : my dish is at the front of the house ... my sons room is at the back ... so will be running the cable up through the loft and out the other side of the house ... then back into his room ... rather than through the loft floor and down from the ceiling

bearing in mind i have to keep going up and down ladders and i am sh@t scared of heights

Or if you want more ethernet ports in their bedroom use 1 of your routers you have but put ethernet cable from homeplug into LAN port on router then you will have an additional 3 ethernets outs.

You can buy homeplugs with more then one ethernet ports or two ethernet ports and a wifi extender. I have found the homeplugs to be very versatile when the wife wants to shuffle the furniture around the house as you no longer need to worry about how you are going to get network connectivity to your device.
