Spiderbox is a good box, but to compare it to a Dreambox is laughable.

Although the spiderbox is a great box for picture Quality etc ( and before you say anything...i DO have one ) they are pretty much a fit and forget piece of hardware, and there is not much you can mess about with. With Linux, Enigma 1 and 2 based based machines you can play around with them, try different images etc, and then feel really good about yourself when you have done it all for yourself. But with a spiderbox you flash it and thats it. My spiderbox has been running for 12 months and i have never touched it...I suppose its ideal for a person who does not want all the learning what comes with other boxes ?? If there was a section just for the spiderbox, it most certainly will not be as interesting as the linux boxes etc, but just full of the latest key files and channel lists. I have no objection at all, but its just not a good enough box for people who are wanting to play and learn about this hobby.

It's not for dreambox owners. It's plug and play basically but does what it'e meant to.

I agree with manic, But however theres alot of people out there who struggle with these box's, and not many forums help people out, witch i think we should be sharing our knowledge of the box with those who know little about it !

The spiderbox is the most over promoted box out there, there is not one forum you can go on where you are not bombarded with this product. Support is everywhere including dedicated forums, theres no need to give it a dedicated section. If anything had to be done why not open a section where Protek and GGG boxs and spiderboxs are all clumped together where they can all be chatted about openly. This way all sharing box's can be compared together without prejudice and all given a equal standing.

by the way I own non of these sharing box's only open source linux boxs both hd and sd.

I beleave if you have a box and either come on here or use google you can get all the info needed, When i've needed help and posted a thread on here my q has been answered very quickly, whats the point in fixing something which isn't broken?
