Hi mate I'm also a newbie so still learning however I've a spiderbox9000hd with a 1m motorized dish, bought on eBay & fitted by seller. It came with a gift( service+) that give alot of channels, such as epl 3pm kick offs xxx movies, movies other sports & news basically enough channels for anyone. It requires a Internet connection not a 100% sure why but has something to do with streaming I'm sure someone else no doubt tell you!!! A good plug n play system easy to use...!!!!

Yes, Spiderbox is a good box, and the " gift " on its not bad too, However I recommend as a beginner a 1M Motorised dish ( Get a pro installer to install it ) and yes a Spiderbox 9000 or 7000HD, Not trying to big this box up, But they are two great box's for beginners and are very much plug and play, But for "Internet channel unlocking" aka Card Share, You will need a valid subscription to a server that unlocks channels that are premium ( I can't go into much detail about sharing cards as it is highly illegal ) But of course I'd be happy to help via private message if necessary,

          Regards, Ellis.

TBH it does what it says it does, if you want a dreambox for cs then thats the way get a linux receiver.
If you want plug and play then Spiderbox/protek etc is the way.
