I have spent last two days trying to align my motor and dish and have managed to receive astra1 and astra 1D3A but thats all I can get. could anyone please tell me what I have done wrong? I am sure the motor is set at the correct elevation and the centre line of the dish bracket lines up with the centre line on the motor pole, and the post they are attached to is definately 100% vertical.. Any advise would be much apreciated.

I think all diseqc motors sold now are compatable with usals.
but only Stab ones are allowed to call it that(they invented it),all the others call it GO TO X function.what motor do you have?if its a TM2300 or TM2600 coupled with your box it will work fine on usals.just follow the guides I sent.
if you are using a 36V motor and V box I dont think they work on usals but I suspect you are using a single cable diseqc motor.Last edited by dick b; 4 April, 2011, 15:15.Comment

Enter your longditude/latitude figures for your location on your box, then send your dish/motor to Thor 0.8w.I have spent last two days trying to align my motor and dish and have managed to receive astra1 and astra 1D3A but thats all I can get. could anyone please tell me what I have done wrong? I am sure the motor is set at the correct elevation and the centre line of the dish bracket lines up with the centre line on the motor pole, and the post they are attached to is definately 100% vertical.. Now adjust your dish elevation/azimuth untill you get the best possible signal from Thor, lock up all your bolts equally so not to pull it out of alignment.
Double check signal strength after everything is tight and adjust if signal as gone down.
Now when you send the motor to other satellites, you should find them no problem.
Hope this has helped mate, this is how I set motors up and it as always worked for me, just got to make sure the mast/pole is plumb like others have said.Comment
