    Probs picking up 5e

Hi, I have TM600, 90cm dish and 0.1db LNB. I am having problems picking up Viasat Extra PL channels but I am picking up other transponders on that satellite.
Anyone else in North East picking this up or should I opt for a bigger dish?
I have tried fine tuning with no success.

cheers for the quick reply. I am thinking I should be able to pick it up but I have tried everything to fine tune the dish. Gonna have to start from scratch or get the bigger dish but dont really want the extra expense.

When I first set my system up last year I had a nightmare trying to get 16e, so with advise from the lads here I set a tv up in the garden and tweaked until it came in...if your just slightly off the arc the fringe sats will not lock on.

that txp is on the nordic beam and really needs a 1.2m dish for uninterupted reception. regards mdt

              cheers for the comments guys.
I briefly got this sat when i changed receiver from TM600 to openbox s9. Must have had a stronger tuner but then when I put my TM600 back not even signal above 20%. There was a couple of days when it was hovering around 65%/70% but pic kept breaking up. Might give it one more try to see if I can pull it in before i get a bigger dish,

                Quick update.

Spent 2 hours fine tuning my dish and managed to get 75% quality but BER is between 2.50 and 3.20. Cant manage to check if pic will be stable as not transmitting anything at the minute. Will that BER rate be a problem?

Not sure if you have already tried or not but if you're feeling brave you could take a run up the ladder and try your dish elevation. Just remember to mark its original position. few degrees can make quite a substantial difference.

To be honest it took me 2 hours to get the signal level where it is now so not gonna mess about with it. Adjusted elevation, east/west and also lnb skew. It was the lnb skew that made most of the difference. Will see if the pic is ok when a match is on and if its not will have another go at getting the BER rate down.
                        cheers for all the replies
