If you think you're in the right direction you can use USALS without actually needing to lock onto your true south sat. Just enter USALS menu, enter long/lat and move the dish to 28.2. THEN get up and start moving the motor around the pole and tweaking elevation etc until you get a signal.Comment

enter the latitude of 53.8 North in your set top box and on your motor(these will not need to be adjusted again)enter 2.5 west in your set top box,put 11.862 H 28000 in the box for BBC World as your search TP. then using usals send the motor to 1West once motor stops go to the dish itself and put around 22 degrees on the elevation scale to start with then starting with the dish roughly pointing south twist the whole assembly slowly L/R til you get a signal if unsuccessful raise/lower the dish elevation and try again. it can be a slow process,I put a car exhaust clamp under the motor to make it easier to turn without it sliding down the pole.keep trying you will succeed.Comment
