spiderbox 9000hd channel 4

I cant get channel 4 to tune in or any thing on astra 2a/2d 10714h 22000
I have been in motor setup and selected drive and moved w and moved e all the way to the end and I can see the dish move through the window and nothing the best I can get is a red bar on s reading 73% please help im lost what am I doing wrong complete novice

Hi I had the same prob with my dreambox found out it was the booster I had out side as soon as the booster was off the sig when up to 90% and got c4 back

do you get all the other transponders ok on that sat? if so delete 10714 H and then go to manual scan and add it back in and rescan

I am struggling I loaded the usb database with 400 channels and reboot no signal again on astra and it looks like the dish is sat on thor sat its strange and i will try a manual scan and it seems to be finding channels on astra 28 now as im typeing this its finding 360 channels and just saving them now and they are working but I really wanted the usb database of 400 and anyone no why this is happening as Im sure if i load the usb file it loses signal its a pain

how do u scan all satallites in one go as I seem to do one at a time

if you are using someone elses channel list you will have to re-enter your local long/lat.in the motor setup menu(greenbutton)
I"v sent a guide on setting up from scratch you may be able to pick something useful to you out of it.

I took the box to the satellite vision shop where I bought it and picked it up later
They told me the box was ok and I had to go to motor setup and pick a satellite and frequency
And then press drive and drive step till I get a signal and save it with satellite position
They said I had to do this with all the satellites I wanted to watch
Are they pulling my leg or is this true what they are saying?
I have it working at the moment and tuned in to Astra 28
I will see how it goes and yes Im on diseqc it seems better on that and better signal and I will keep you posted and thx for all the help

if you are using diseqc 1.2 what they say is correct and you must have an active TP set for the sat you are looking for.if you are getting better reception on 1.2 than on usals your longitude setting needs fine tuning in "edit my local position"
right if you have 28.2East working ok go to motor set up put usals on the motor type line 28.2/5 eurobird/astra2 on the satellite line and 10.803H 22000 on the frequency line(or any other active one) then press the green button and check your long/ lat positions are correct,exit to full screen to see what you have press "info"to check and make a note of the signal level.now go back to motor setup and change the longitude setting by 0.2 degrees at a time up/down and exit to full screen to check the result keep doing this til you get max signal(do not alter the lat position)once happy with this go to the command line and store sat position this should store it for use on diseqc 1.2 later on if needed.now once you have got 28.2 on usals successfully go to the satellite line in motor set up and choose the next sat motor should move automatically to that position.then drop to store sat position and store then drop to search option choose what you want and start search.repeat for all the sats you want I suggest the following42E,39E,28.2E,19E,16E,13E,10E,9E,7E,4.8E, 0.8W,5W and 30W.
If in doubt follow the instructions I posted for you yesterday.

I took the spiderbox back to the shop for them to test for 2 days as it was losing signal in the middle of a film it could be on astra 2 for 12 hours and just drop signal for no reason and I did everything correctly I save sat position and signal was good and I have borrowed a dreambox 500 off them and it works fine its been on for 4 days with no signal loss and that tells me the lnb and cabling must be good and I will pick the spderbox back up on tuesday and see what they have found and thanks for all your help I am getting to understand how to setup the spiderbox now as I only got it installed at christmas by the shop
