No signal displayed on Samsung Sky HD Box

I have a Samsung Sky HD Box which appears to have stopped working. I have not used it for a while as I had cable TV but want to start using it for the free channels again. When I turn it on I get a messsage saying that there is no signal being received. I have checked the signal strength but the box indicates that there is no signal or strength! I know that there is a signal and have even taken my box to a friends house and plugged it in there to double check that it's not the dish and the message is still there. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

        go to setup menu

go to single feed mode, select yes

try a forced software download by holding the back up button in and turning power off by the wall keep back up button pressed in untill software update is displayed on screen, sometimes this kicks the tuner back in if this does not work its most likely the tuner needs replacing......BJ1
