        Nathan Cleverly's fight has been postponed just now. Does this mean there is a chance of the show getting moved off PPV ala khan v mc closkey?

          Cant see sky pulling it, these won't be getting no way as much money as Khan did, Thats the only reason sky pulled it as they had no way near enough interset so numbers did not add up!!

            Groves and the whole of the card iss scheduled for Polsat sport Extra.
            Polsat Sport was only covering Cleverly fight.

            Nathan Cleverly has branded Juergen Braehmer "unprofessional" after the German pulled out of their WBO light-heavyweight title bout on Saturday.

            Cleverly is already the 'interim' title holder and had been set to face the outright champion at the 02 Arena, but those plans fell apart on Wednesday morning when an apparent eye injury meant Braehmer failed to arrive in London ahead of the fight.

            The Welshman's promoter, Frank Warren, is thought to be lobbying the WBO to strip Braehmer and upgrade his fighter to full champion status, or let him fight for the vacant belt this weekend.

            Whatever the outcome of Warren's negotiations with the WBO, Cleverly has been left crestfallen.

            The Cefn Forest fighter told Sky Sports News: "I'm absolutely devastated, to be honest. This is the fight that I really wanted.

            "I've been gunning for Juergen Braehmer for over a year now - he's got the world title, he was the champion. I badly wanted to get this guy in the ring and win the title in style.

            "It's very unprofessional that he hasn't turned up. He's ducked out of the fight as far as I'm concerned.

            "The proof is there now that he doesn't want to fight me."

            Braehmer's stock is already low due to the 32-year-old having only defended his belt once since winning it in 2009 while also pulling out of a January unification fight with Beibut Shumenov.

            "I knew he didn't want the fight with me so I was a bit anxious, I knew he was a temperamental character and had a feeling he wouldn't turn up," Cleverly continued.

            "I can't understand the mentality. He's taken the easy route and decided not to fight me, and it's so frustrating.

            "He's let everyone down."

            Cleverly has been preparing intensely for his defining night and training to face a southpaw, and said he would now have to refocus in the days ahead.

            He said: "All my sparring has been against southpaws basically, so I'm going to have to mentally refocus now. I've got to make sure I'm on top of my game.

            "As difficult as it is, I've just got to be professional about it."

            The 24-year-old suffered similar frustration in December when Alejandro Lakatos pulled out of their fight for the interim title and he had to face late-notice replacement Nadjib Mohammedi instead.

            A similar scenario is now set to play out this weekend, and Cleverly is adamant he will glean no pleasure from walking into the ring on Saturday - even if he has been elevated to full champion status in the meantime.

            "As far as I know, maybe I'll be elevated to world champion, but as far as I'm concerned I'm still fighting on Saturday night against a ranked opponent for the world title, so my celebration will begin when I get the business done on Saturday night," Cleverly said.

                  Any thoughts by Sky to pull the plug on another box office event may subsided by the British public***8217;s interest in James DeGale***8217;s British super-middleweight title defence against arch-enemy George Groves. The grudge match has been the most talked about fight on the O2 card and my give Frank Warren some give in choosing a challenger for Cleverly***8217;s first WBO title defence.

                  Sky pulled out on Amir Khan's WBA light-welterweight title defence against Paul McCloskey last month after several fighters were pulled from the undercard and may have been ready to do something similar to Nathan Cleverly after his world title challenge fell apart.

                  In any other case than a big-name light-heavyweight in the ilk of Zsolt Erdei or Gabriel Campillo, promoter Frank Warren would have been left explaining how the bout could command Sky Box Office status at the weekend, but his job has been made a lot easier by the face that most people in the UK would pay to see DeGale v Groves anyway.

                  The 168lb bout was originally chief support to Cleverly v Braehmer, but will no doubt take top billing in London, even if the fight is scheduled before Cleverly***8217;s title defence. DeGale and Groves have a deep hatred for each other that has stemmed since they were amateurs and they are set to settle their differences once and for all on Saturday.

                  Early names touted to step in face against Cleverly are Commonwealth champion Tony Bellew, former middleweight champion William Joppy, WBO number two Dmitry Sukhotsky and former world cruiserweight champion and fellow Welshman Enzo Macarinelli, who is now campaigning at 175lbs.

                            Nathan Cleverly has welcomed the chance to face domestic rival Tony Bellew when he defends his newly acquired WBO light-heavyweight title on Saturday.

                            The Welshman will face Bellew after J?rgen Br?hmer, who he had been set to challenge for the WBO belt, pulled out of the O2 Arena bout and was stripped of his title.

                            Cleverly was subsequently upgraded from "interim" champion, allowing the promoter Frank Warren to set up an immediate chance for a first defence against the unbeaten Commonwealth champion Bellew.

                            Cleverly said: "I'm really happy that Bellew will be in the opposite corner on Saturday night. Not only will he feel my anger from Br?hmer pulling out, he'll now pay for slagging me off in the last year.

                            "I knew we would get it on one day and that day has come a lot sooner than expected, but I'm ready for Bellew and he's going to get knocked out."

                            Cleverly told Sky Sports News: "I find him a disrespectful fighter with a loud mouth. He has a different style from Br?hmer so I have to change my gameplan.

                            "I have been preparing for a southpaw in Br?hmer and Bellew is an orthodox fighter. But when you are a boxer you have to adapt to all styles."

                            It emerged on Wednesday that Br?hmer was not going to defend his belt, citing an eye injury, and Warren then lobbied the WBO to strip the German and name Cleverly champion while beginning the search for a credible replacement opponent.

                            Bellew, ranked in the WBO top 20, jumped at the chance, while the governing body granted Warren's wish overnight.

                            "The fight between Nathan and Tony has been brewing up in the last year and it's happened sooner than expected," Warren said. "But I'm delighted that the fight is on and the fans are in for a real treat on Saturday night. There is nothing like big domestic fights and in this case on Saturday at the O2 we have two big title fights involving British guys and I'm expecting fireworks in the ring."

                            Bellew, 28, has long sought a contest with 24-year-old Cleverly. The younger man has garnered more attention in recent years due to his rapid rise through the sport while studying a mathematics degree which he completed last year.

                            But Bellew is a talent himself and, despite wobbles in recent performances, remains unbeaten and has a reputation as a powerful puncher.

                            Bellew, who had been training for a July rematch with Ovill McKenzie, said: "I'm coming down to London to fight and believe when I say I'm going to knock Cleverly out cold.

                            "I wouldn't have put myself forward if I didn't think I could beat him. Be it two months' notice or two days' notice, I know I can beat Cleverly ***8211; I always have. For the fans, I can promise them the best fight they will see in the last 10 years."

                              What a Joke this is turning into!!

                              NEWLY-CROWNED WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly will take on Aleksy Kuziemski tomorrow night after his hastily-arranged fight against Tony Bellew was scrapped due to the challenger failing to make the weight.
                              Cleverly was named WBO light-heavyweight champion this week after Juergen Braehmer was stripped of his title following his late withdrawal from their scheduled fight at London***8217;s O2 Arena.
                              Welshman Cleverly, who was previously ***8220;interim***8221; champion, was then handed a first defence of his new belt against domestic rival Bellew, the Commonwealth champion from Liverpool.
                              But promoter Frank Warren last night confirmed Bellew would not fight, with Poland***8217;s Kuziemski stepping in at late notice.

                              Warren told Sky Sports News: ***8220;It***8217;s been a nightmare to say the least.
                              ***8220;But we***8217;ve managed to keep the show together.***8221;
                              He added: ***8220;Tony Bellew contacted me to say he wanted the fight. He said he was within four pounds of the weight, but unfortunately that wasn***8217;t the case.***8221;
                              Bellew and Cleverly are long-time rivals and sparks flew when they came face-to-face at an explosive press conference in London yesterday, which saw the pair nearly come to blows.
                              Bellew arrived late but immediately started insulting Welshman Cleverly and security guards had to intervene as the banter turned nasty.
                              ***8220;I***8217;ll give you a free punch,***8221; Cleverly taunted.
                              Hot-tempered Bellew reacted, spitting expletives and threatening to put the Welshman ***8220;in an ambulance.***8221;
                              Security guards then had to step in to physically pull the two men apart.
                              It emerged on Wednesday that Braehmer was not going to defend his belt, citing an eye injury, and Warren then lobbied the WBO to strip the German of his title and name Cleverly champion while beginning the search for a credible replacement opponent.
                              Bellew, ranked in the WBO top 20, jumped at the chance, while the governing body granted Warren***8217;s wish overnight but at yesterday***8217;s check weigh-in Bellew came in at more than 13 stone, with the light-heavyweight limit at 12st 7lb.
                              ***8220;I think I***8217;ve been through everything in the last 48 hours, the main thing for me is that I***8217;m still fighting and that all my hard work has not gone to waste,***8221; said Cleverly.
                              ***8220;It***8217;s been a mad time, but I***8217;ve been through this before and I***8217;m professional enough to deal with it, let***8217;s face it, any problems after this fight will be nothing in comparison.
                              ***8220;I***8217;ve got to get my head round to focusing on Kuziemski now, he is the man in front of me on Saturday night so I***8217;ve got to forget about Bellew and Braehmer altogether.
                              ***8220;He***8217;s got a good record, he***8217;s highly ranked and he***8217;s been in with some good guys so he won***8217;t be a pushover.***8221;
                              Warren added: ***8220;Kuziemski is ranked higher than Tony Bellew, so he is a good fighter.
                              ***8220;Tony did not fulfil the weight criteria and you have to put safety first.
                              ***8220;We considered a catch weight but that would not have been fair on Nathan. It would have been a difference of 12 pounds and that would not have been fair on Nathan***8217;s health.
                              ***8220;But at least we had a stand-by. Nathan is angry about the whole thing, the press conference was very emotional, but he has to get himself together and refocus. The show must go on
