    1m satelite dish mounting

    hi all
im delving into the world of motorised statellite
got a 1m dish and technomate 2300 motor
im going to mount the dish at bottom of garden in between fencing and shed theres bout 1m gap in between,
now i have some t & k brackets and was going to mount these with scaffold pole onto a 6ft concrete fencing post
question is would this be suitable and stable to mount to because obviously i would ony be able to attach t & k brackets on their centre line on concrete post??
also any tips advice on getting started with dm500s and this set upi wanna get prem footy for next season i am in west mids.

I wouldn't drill any holes into a concrete fencepost as they become weak when drilled because of the steel reinforcement, you would be best digging a hole a couple of feet and concrete the pole into the ground making sure it is completely plum using a level

I'm not sure if I understood right but are you planning to secure the T & Ks to the concrete pole by only bolting them in through their centre holes?

              Use Patio Mount

I use Non Penetrate Flat Roof Mounts (NPRM).

It can also be used as an alternative where there are no means of mounting a dish/aerial to a wall/chimney.

Check out fleabay or google NPRM

              I found item 300559773143.

You just put 4 standard concrete flags in the square base of the mount and attach you dish to the mast that stands up from the centre of the base. Very easy!!

              Good luck

How do you find plumb with these mounts if the ground is slightly uneven ?

I dug a hole at the bottom of my garden and concreted in a 12 foot scaffolding pole and mounted the motor directly onto the pole. I have never had any problems with the dish though I could have done with something at the end of the pole in the ground in case the pole turned after a few years.
