    Change to NDS Stream

the following comes from some one i know in australia where thay also use NDS as chosen encryption.

    -----

Well they have made changes down here that is not allowing ANY emulator to open the channels.
So unless a fix comes up its going to be the end of third party boxes here.
I assume we are a test bed and if successful I think you guys will soon see the changes in the UK and Europe.

Has he tried tweaking it himself yet?

I wouldn't worry too much just yet as early days so not much time to look at a fix.

personally i would like to see a end to cardsharing but VIC, is a whiz with oscam and knows it inside out. so far no emulator is clearing any NDS channel in Australia.

Commercial CS maybe but not the hobby.

I know about the emus but has he tried a tweaked version that was floating around? Or does he even think that this is in fact a tweak key implementation once again?

TBH I would assume it is related given the information to date.

I seen the ticket that was posted but did not go near Aussie forums yet. Best bet is they come back with a lot of logs, (tweaked and untweaked), and compare from there.

And that's what is happening at the moment but I would still sit back and relax for a bit before we sign off on CS

Well this isnt looking good, Think I may delay in getting that Vu Duo! I wonder how soon we will start to see all the 3rd party boxes going on the cheap!

In all seriousness though I wonder how long it will take to see this coming over here? Seems like its a simple fix for NDS, something that could happen overnight!

I have no doubt at all that this will not be cracked, Just like I think nag3 will be cracked soon enough.

The changes are relatively easy to hack as they are effectively done within the set top box. All thats required is to reverse engineer the algorithm that takes the returned card cw's and turns them into real cw's. This could be as simple as positional changes or XOR or it may be some form of complex encryption but it doesn't really matter - that algorithm is in the easily dumpable stb flash. Its just a matter of finding it !

A true Nag3 card crack is something else entirely and is very unlikely in any moderate timeframe. If enough money is thrown at the problem then you may see the big CS providers finding a solution eventually but its unlikely ever to filter down to being able to do it at home.

But if they use Polymorphic code then it could become quite an annoyance to crack if you try to reverse engineer as the code is constantly changing but keeping to the same algorithm....

These crackers are rather talented in my opinion
