I got a technomate box (I believe it is a 7 series - don't quote me on that) a few years ago. I can't say I know a great deal about how satellite technology, transponders, pids (insert any other dirty words here), etc. but I'm interested in learning.
I don't suppose anybody would be able to recommend a couple of books that take you through things? I'm a computer programmer so I'm quite interested in the technical aspects behind it all, rather than just a user guide to setting up a satellite.
