Eagle Box

Hi

Im hoping someone can help, me dads got I think an eagle box which has a darkstar II image on.

He`s been having some minor problems nothing major. The guy who installed it wont respnd to phone calls.

I need to get into setup but the guys has got a pin number setup and although Ive tried the most obvious ones.

Is there a way of getting in.

Have you tried reflashing the box with a different image

Eagle is bottom end of the sat boxes mate
But its not a bad box
Its realy a cheap dreambox
If you reflash like advised above you will loose your CCcam.cfg
This will leave you with just free channels
wot probs is the box giving
You can acsess the pass via tuxbox commander
but not sure of the location in the eagle box .......Paul

Thanks for the replies guys, the reason I havent reflashed is as Paul has said I would lose the Cccam.cfg. There was a way with the dboxes but cant remember how and if the same principal applies to eagle/dreambox.

Me dad has lost some channels and he wants them back and at same time I thought Id update to a more newer image and sort the bouqets for him so he can navigate his way round better.

He is in his 80s and think the guy should have sold him a much simpler box.

If you dont know how to get in Paul not sure if anyone else will.

In Tuxbox command go to
var /etc
look for passwd
right click to edit and do as below


Just delete the part in the spaces so it looks like the bottom one
root: **************** :0:0::/:/bin/sh

It should look like below when done

root:$1$$34NPeumc9sBBCAw.oUaM80:0:0::/:/bin/sh

Pass will now be dreambox

This is for a dreambox but it should be the same
Save the deleted text
In case your man wants acsess to the box again

hi m8 if u rescan the box u should get some of lost channels back

Like I said wanted to update at same time and play with it a little bit.

Not happy that the trader has put a password on and wont answer phone calls and yeh hes still around but not helpful at all. What if me dad wanted to change boxes or something at least he woud know his cccam details.

Hi

Finally managed to get round to doing this, followed above instructions and eventually managed to sort it.

Took me best part of 2 days by the time I was happy with it.

Have now got the pli jade image on and seems to be working fine. Channels clearing fine.

Only question I have left is about cccam.info how do you install that and where does it go. Think if that is installed you can tell if its connected to ??? at the press of the yelow button.
