    Fittings for satelite.

Hi folks. I was wondering what your thoughts were on the use of cable snap seal connectors for satelite signals. I was using them with a dm518s for months without problems. Now when i bought a clone dm800hd i cant seem to pick up any channels. The image i know works. A friend helped set it up and tested okay at their house. Im wondering if its the connections that need to be the f type for satelite hd tv...! Btw the snr is 100% and i have a lock so everything seems okay. How can i tell if its a faulty tuner?

    ?

    Cheers for the help guys

are you 100% certain that your on the correct satellite? try doing a manual txp scan also. the connectors you mention will be fine and you say the box was tested and set-up by a friend so why would the tuner be faulty at your house but ok at your m8,s. regards mdt
