    nooby needing advice

    hi, i know what ur gonna say, search the forum, but i just wanted to know what do i need to be able to get to watch the football this season and disney channels for the kids. i live in the south of england on the coast and would like to know exactly what i need. if someone could give me info on some sort of complete package that would be great, thanks

    You don't even need to search. There are three or four people asking the same question on the first page of 'General Satellite TV'.

    You need a dish (80cm+ ideally), a linux satellite receiver and a cardshare subscription.

    Cardsharing is illegal so you embark upon this course at your own risk. Information provided is for educational purposes only etc etc

      The cheapest way would be a half price sub to sky.

      Then once they want you to pay full price :-

      Buy an HD receiver 120-150
      A motorised dish 80-100
      fix it up yourself
      Then google CS
      and probably pay 100 euros or less a year.

        thnks for that. is there a box to go for that is good for beginners?

        think illl go for a spider box after reading some threads, hope that is a good choice

          Most of the Linux boxes are an ok buy but i would advise a Dreambox 800 hd,pick one up from China 110 quid and loads of support for the Dreambox is the most popular box and you wont regret it.
