39 east? if you havent got a sat metre best way is to setup tv and STB on the floor near the ladder and try to get the best siganl and quality -
I have used dishpointer.com and managed to get dish pointing in direction set up elevation and lnb skew what option in openpli image (dm500) do I need to go into to check for settings et.
tried a transponder scan but failed due to unable to get lockComment

no lock, means your not on the sat..buy a cheap metre from maplins or fleebay or use the tv on the floorComment

If you have a smartphone, another option is to enter your boxes ip into your phone browser and use the sat finder included in the web if to help align the dish.
Or download one of the Dream remote apps, most of those have built in sat finders too,
much easier than rigging up portables outside etcComment

The wife had been complaining that the 'Food channel' kept pixallating on my Sly dish every so often so I thought I would re-align the dish. Spent all Sunday afternoon trying to get it realigned, could get all the channels on 19E but just could not get everything on 28.2E again.Comment
