wot box for me?

i dunno guys, ive recently cancelled my sly package, and am left with the dish on my house, the cables running to a sly+hd box, and the freeview channels.

ive been reading about dreambox/openbox but am very confused, is it just a case of buying a box and swapping it over with my sly+hd box?, or is there more to it, do i need to run a cable from my pc to the new box?, or does everything just come down the dish on my house and run through the cables straight to the box next to my tv then onto my tv?

im talking about getting premium channels, sport and documentaries really, i dunno, dont wanna buy a box then find out ive no idea how to get the premium channels you know, do i have to subscribe to something to get the channels after buying a box?

i dunno guys, i understand certain things cant be talked about on here, and i respect that, but i just cant get my head round how to go on, any help much appreciated, as i would like to have enough knowledge to get me up and running for the footy starting, thanks guys.

try the blademedia box as its esy to set up for a beginner and has HD. google card sharing for more info

Hi mate, its pretty simple.

1) U will need 80/100cm motorised dish to catch all the European channels. Buy the kit from eBay for about 100 quid. Advice - fit the dish yourself, save some money and put that money towards a better receiver.

2) buy a receiver. Flash your box by following guides from here or youtube. Plug in cable coming from dish and rj45 ethernet cable from your router. (Broadband will be required)

Hd Bottom of range openbox s10 (65quid on eBay) - crap epg still record though.

Mid-range dm800 HD pro (around 150 on eBay) good epg

Top of the range Vu duo+ (I think 250+) good epg and twin tuner.

3) for football either subscribe to European football channels - very expensive.

Or illegal way, cardsharing. Can't be discussed here. Google your best friend mate, google 'premium ccam' or 'premium cardshare' - cost 8-15 quid depending what channels u want.

4) once subscribed enter the Cline into your receiver (Cline - just imagine login and password detail)

That's all u got to do. Not very hard once u have all info. Any further questions just ask.

ya dont need a different dish mate
if sky is all your after
if ya get into it and have an interest in getting more channels the get a big motorised dish

also there other sites out there that will give ya a free ***** and your channels can cost nothing

Thanks guys, very helpful, im starting to get my head around it a little bit, well, just the very basics you know, but yeah, i just wanna keep my dish, and get uk sly only, not fussed about those 3pm footy games, but like daithi says, if i get well into it then i could upgrade and stuff in the future, thanks again.
