sky fault number 30

Spoke to mate online earlier and she said her sky has stopped working.
Powers up but remote wont do anything and no picture etc .
Asked her what symptoms were and she said this

"It won't switch on or off or do anything by the remote, I can get the tv guide, but when I select a channel it comes up technical fault number 30 "

Had a search but cant find anything about faukt 30 so wondring if anyone can help.

I saw that but thinking there may be more to it with the remote not working?

Have a try at this if remote not working.

Often if an HD remote stops working taking one battery out and holding down select for 60 seconds before replacing the battery will fix it.
