No, you only need a twin lnb so that you can have full use of the twin tuner.

A Quad will just give you more options.

OK say you have 2 feeds, 1 for each tuner, 1 goes to the receiver connection, then the other goes direct to the lnb. The you connect the other port to the lnb connection on the motor.

A single LNB will work the DU, it is connected to LB1.
A twin LNB will be needed if you want to use 2 tuners.
