    2.4m fortec star dish

    can anyone give me any help, i am trying to install a 2.4m prime focus fortecstar from map**ns to get viasat 4.8e here in west of ireland but have no joy, getting the same signal strength as my 1.2m dish should i be getting better.

    did you get the correct LNB for the dish? You should definitely see improvement.

      If that is the petalised dish, you need it very precisely assembled, they are still not great at Ku Band. I set one up a while ago and it was little better than a Sky dish.

        i have a inverto c120 flange lnb with invacom feedhorn is this not correct and is their a certain way to assemble as i have bolts all tight holding in the 6 panels.

          The one I saw, you only had to look across the face and you could easily see it was out of shape. IMO, they are a very poor build quality

            those 2.4m dishes are no better than a 1.2m mate.. They are so cheap for a reason.. have you altered the skew on the LNB..?

                You could look for a Channel Master 1.7m offset solid dish. They may be heavy, but are a very good dish.
