    hi, starview dh combo with lan

    hi all, i need to know what firmware to use on my starview hd combo for the sat side. i am getting a dish installed next week and need to flash the box ready for satellite.

    at the moment i have carling+ ver 5.21

    can someone help me please

      there is another file in downloads,to be used as your own risk,you could try the one you have on box first then go from there if you wish.

          ok its late now and im off to bed, i need a couple of questions answered if anyone can shed some light for me:

          i have downloaded the firmware "i was bored one day"

          and installed "make me a starview combo hd file" via null cable.

          i then ran the "starview use this patch first.uad" via usb file and everything was sucessful.

          my questions are

          1. is this the most current up to date file and best file for sat side out there for sv hd combo

          2. on other forums everyone is saying Carling+_F531_1207.UAD is the file to install.

          3. do i now install the "
          Starview Combo HD Motorised Dish Channel Pack or is this not needed.

              hopefully someone with a combo + will say what works as in firmware,and the channel dump is handy if you have a motorised dish.

              there are other firmwares as said above but what difference on box i dont know as i dont have one.

                  i have the same box m8 and i no other people who have so where as 1 software will work perfect for some but not for others,its a case of try some out to c what works best on your box,i am on on the new software at the mo but i no a friend who hasn't got it working right,

                      when you say you are on the latest software do you mean that you are on the starview file from the "i was bored one day folder"

                      did you install the "make me a starview combo hd file" via null cable

                      then "starview use this patch first.uad"

                      and you are working fine?
