    Starview HD Combo + Mac Fix

    Hi Guys, I see there is no satelite section for starview combo only cable so here goes, I have been using this box for a while now over the internet but it has just stopped working, I notice that the mac address has gone to all noughts and I beleive there is a fix for this, if anybody knows anything about it could you please post...

      does it just not need a reboot of all units,as in off at rear for 30 secs then on,you have not said mac error which needs the fix.

          Its been rebooted a few times pal, and I don't understand the rest of what you said sorry, as I explained the Mac address is now all noughts its a common problem, all I need to know is which firmware fixes the problem...

              some times to connect all units mean box modem and router off for 30 secs then on.

                  Thanks for looking cactkid, those posts are a bit old at 2008, a lot mention that software but i can't download it anywhere, il keep trying anyway...

                      Mac Fix

                      Hi M8,
                      There are several easy ways to fix you mac address.
                      First off you will need to remove the cover to get the original mac supplied with the box. Thats on a sticker inside.
                      Ok so you now have the Mac address, next step is goto downloads and goto starview section.
                      In there look for some of my uploads....
                      Starview 9600 firmware.
                      Digital Kaos - Downloads - Starview 9600 Cacci Firmware
                      or
                      Starview alternative software/ I was bored one day/ Spider
                      Digital Kaos - Downloads - Alternative Software Starview Combo HD LAN
                      or
                      Starview Combo brick fix
                      Digital Kaos - Downloads - Starview HD Combo + Lan brick fix tut.
                      Put any of these on your Starview and you will see then, that the Mac address line is now active to edit back to the original or to whatever you want.

                          Im new to the satellite side but im wondering the best way to get the sky sports package. Would i have i to use a cardshare or is there anything else i could use.
