sky+ hd problem

hi i bought a sky+ hd box off ebay, the person included the sky viewing card with the box, the free channels work... channel 5 and few others don't work, is there any way of getting them to work?

also... when i first put the box on and i tried to record and pause etc.. it worked... it would let me pause the free tv channels etc.. but i accidently done a system update (when you press back up for 10 seconds until the lights come on) and it say's updating system don't touch for 10 mins..

all the free channels now work but when i try to pause tv or record it won't let me and it say's call broadcaster.. is there anyway to fix this?

pause/record functions are not free and part of the service sky offer to all paying customers.

the card needs pairing with your skyHd+ box and needs to be registered in your name and your address.

The cheapest package is approx ?17.00 per month.

Someone please correct me if what i have said is wrong.

sounds correct if you were a subscriber to sky and cancelled your sub,any recordings are not accessible.

ok im aware of this, the recording was working until i upgraded the box though so i messed up somewhere.. damn...

You didnt mess up, the box would have connected to sky and would have updated your box! Would have happened eventually! Sames as when your subscription ends for any readon you always get a bit of a grace period due to sky actually sending a message to your box
