    Sly dish flexi block mod

Been tinkering today and managed to sling this together for my shed, used a second hand zone2 sly dish, couple of second had lnb,s i had kicking around and a modified triax flexi block.
Works a treat got it set up for 28.2 and 13e, signal levels in the mid 90s from both sats, really pleased with how it looks and perform, thought I would share it anyway.

no , just fit a weatherproof diseqc switch at the dish and have one feed back to the box

That looks pretty much like a Zone 1 43cm dish and not a Zone 2 60cm even so thats a very nice mod and good figures for those 2 sats.

        Well done

That looks good, exactly what I would like to do. How did you mod the flexiblock?

          I am a lazy ****

Looks like he just chopped out and drilled through the end. Did you calculate the focal distance or just chance it? I really fancy doing this now!

I think he has chopped the triax arm holder part off and added a plasic arm on either side somehow, or some sort of U shaped plastic arm that goes into the flexiblock and extends on either side of the sly dish arm, then he has drilled a hole either side of the arm and fitted a nut and bolt with washers

I cannot see how its been modified at the middle holder near the lnbs from the pictures however

but it certainly looks good however it was done

I would fit a longer but adjustable arm on a zone 2 dish and try to emulate what he has done with the triax flexiblock as its impressive
