Is it currently worth buying a spiderbox just for the free gift or are most of the channels still gone. thanks.

cheers mate do you mean no it,s not down or no the channel's have not gone was just about to buy a protek 9710 and the company pm'd me and said go for a spiderbox instead because their is more you can do if the free gift stops. I know what he means by this but not looking to go down that route to be honest just want the free gift.

there is always a risk in any box you buy protek has been running now for almost 4 years and nobody knows how long it is going to last.... and nobody knows how long c/s is going to last, so you could buy a spider that has a gift that goes on and off all the time and if c/s goes you will have nothing.....what ever you decide it will be a gamble...BJ1

although more expensive a protek mk-1 is e2 and can do what the spiderbox can do. the 97XX range of proteks can use newcamd for any extras that are wanted also. regards mdt

Spiderbox I believe has epl on tring 16e/sport tv 30w/pltv 1w/diema nova sport 39e and maybe some more not sure.

M8,on the whole it's been a fairly good box.. [but yes it's had it's problem's]..the picture quality is good..[HD and SD]..It's fairly simple to set up..[gift and ccam]..it can be used as a freesat box..some channel's do drop off at time's [so be prepaired to do some channel hopping if you like your footy]..It can also be patched..[so there's always something to watch]..at present they have a new spider out..don't know the full detail's..[you would have to ask manic01 about that]..I can't really say how this will effect the 9000hd support.. [could go the duoslab way with the diablo etc].. but that's speculation..

No need for support to go for 9000 as uses same patch.

Hi I would not touch a spiderbox with a barge pole constant glitching,channels come and go everyday,support has dried up,if you go to support site you got to very carefull not to upset the admin or you will get banned.Personnaly I have bought a protek 9750 it is the best box I have purchased best gift package,proper support site,and it has been running a lot longer than spiderboxes.

yes i had a spiderbox before my protek and it was good at first but now it is totaly unreliable you cant watch anything without it glitching or channels scrambling all the time.. i gave it away yesterday to the installer who fitted my new protek 9750hd
