I dont think trying to go under the trees will work mate how tall are they and how far away? if they are twice as far away as they are high all should be well.

trees grow so in time signal may be lost, underneath you may have debris falling in windy weather.

Go to w*w.dishpointer.c*m > put in your postcode > zoom in on your garden/house > select a position for your dish > select the satellite(s) you want to access > You will see a line on the map where the dish needs to point along with the elevation and direction relative to your dish. Do the same with all other satellites.

you can put your dish anywhere high or low, you could bolt it to a paving slab any where in the garden so you can get line of site of the satelite

as you already have the dish why not just do a temporary lash up to try it out(are you just after 28.2 or hoping to motorise)I clamp a mount in a "workmate" just to test line of site some times.if the trees are 70ft tall in theory you need to be 140 ft away with the dish at ground level.with the bottom of the dish 20ft high you would need to be 100 feet away.
