Hi guys, newbie here, and a very excited late-comer to the world of Linux satellite receivers.
I'm having building work done all over the house and I've decided to go for a multi-room TV system. Thought about having a few satellite receivers connected to a matrix, but I've decided to just go for a Linux box with my Sky card running as a server with Linux boxes in each room sharing the card.
I need a little help with the wiring though and wondered if anybody could shed a little light...
Lets say I went for a twin-tuner in each room, and I had eight rooms (for future-proofing's sake) - Would I need 16 cables coming from my dish? I could possibly mount two octo-LNBs using a bracket like this one:
PULSAT.COM - TRIAX FLEXIBLOCK DUAL LNB FEED HOLDER - SATELLITE TV DISHES & BRACKETS
Also, would I run a cable from ech octoLNB to each receiver?
Very simple questions for you guys, I know; I'm still learning and using the search functions, but just needed to get my head around the basics quickly so I can get on with the wiring job.
Any help is very much appreciated!
