    monoblock lnb

    if i use a monoblock lnb with dish pointing at 28.2 can i pick up any other satellite

    mono-block lnb come in variations of... 3,4 and 6.2 degrees and the main other orbital positions for uk/europe are 19.2e/16e/13e/9e/7e/5e/1w/5w/30w so a mono-block isnt much use. you could get your self either a 85cm dish/bracket and go for 28.2/19.2 and 13 or a 85/90cm dish and go as far as astra 4a@5e (european beam), but thats pushing it as its recommended not to go above 20 degree,s when using the secondary focus of a normal satellite dish. s*y mini-dish,s zone 1( or zone 2 in your case)are only any good for astra 2 @28.2e really m8 but people have used them on astra1/hotbird but i wouldnt advise it. why not go the whole hog and get yourself a 80-1m motorised dish and use the fixed dish at 28.2e for freesat. regards mdt
