Advice on sat extension !!

Hi all I need to move my sat box about 3 feet would I be ok just extending my my current cable or have I got to fit a whole new cable

you can extend the cable easily and cheaply and it will work happily. although every time you do it will slightly weaken the signal received. you will most likely not notice a difference but you may.

as ruberduck says you wont have any probs with one join at one time I had 3 and didnt notice any difference just make sure you use a proper joining nipple between the f-plugs.

if the cable was old maybe going for a fresh cable?dont know what life they have.

just a quick update add a piece of cable and have suffered no loss of signal or quality.
