TV & SAT Diplexers ? Anybody?

Anybody any experience of using TV/SAT cable diplexers? Im thinking of using them for an installation in a house (the mother/father in laws) thats already got a dish up for freesat. Gonna be putting up a TV aerial and would rather send that down the sat cable rather than tack another run of cable and drill new holes.. Do they really work ok with little loss to the Sat or TV signal?

Tbh, i'd be inclined to run seperate cables to the Aerial other than the lnb cables. Diplexing does add a substantial loss (usually 4-5dB but can be 8-10dB depending on type) and you can end up with some strange 'control' problems with the lnb not getting either proper power or tone.

To get anything worthwhile (distribution amp type arrangement) you'd probably end up spending far more than a length of cable plus you'd have to cable from Aerial/dish to your distribution point anyway and you'd then require to a further power cable to the amp.
