plug it into your box and switch it on. there is a good tut on here somewhere for setting up a motorised dish, i followed it a couple of months ago and mine was installed in the hour and working fine since.
If it isn't broke, don't try fixin it..!!!

just wondered, the dish is not flat like in the diagram, it must of moved and then been disconnected, so when i put it up do i need to put it up flat and then adjust? and could i align it to sly sat to start with?

A offset dish should be leaning slightly back on Thor, and a little less on Astra 2. The best advice if you are new to installing a motorised dish. Is tempory stick a pole in the garden south side, and setup the system, with a clear vision, and do most of the adjustment on the ground. So you have a good idea where the sat is, when you are off the ground, and fine tune it. Normally people set it up on Thor, but you can used 28.2 sat. Just set the box for 28.2 Astra and after the motor as move , move the motor assemble by hand until you have the sat, and then fine tune.

also, might sound dumb, but this has come out a pub were it was working, but looking at tutorials and vids, the motor is upside down? how can that be?

Hi mikecarey, depending on make, some motors have the main stub upwards and some downwards,so,set it up the way it was and do some reading on here and all should be good.
                  Cheers,mugello

not quite sure what you mean by "moves sat on its own" will need a bit more info.
what box are you using on it? have you tried to align it,if you have are you using usals with the correct lat/long entered for where you are?have you followed a setup guide?

ive tried follow the setup guide, but as i got the dish in an already offset position, ive tried to line it up like my sky dish, but i can hear it move if i try anything, its connected to a openbox s10

yeah I dont know the open box(others will) but what do you mean by "offset position" do you mean the dish elevation adjuster.

sorry but I"v got to sign off now but read this guide its for std technomates but may be of use to you as the principal is exactly the same.
