    Tring questions and general info/help ???

    I am a new Tring user (god knows why after reading the threads).
    I am having my motorised dish installed Friday and have the Tring + card ready and waiting.
    I have a Technomate 5402 and will be placing the card straight into the card reader slot (embedded cam).

    I have 2 questions

    1. Does the number on the Tring Plus Card actually mean anything ?
    2. Will tring update my card when in the card reader slot ?

    I am fearing the worst !
    Any other reasonable ideas (money wise) now that i have this set up to gain 3pm football ?

    Im new to this and help and advise would be appreciated.

      By reading threads across many forums, it doesnt look good for tring users. Been off on 3pm for few weeks.

      Get a protek box Mate, lots of 3pm.

                  You seem to know your stuff.
                  All i want is 3pm footy.
                  I have a motorised dish setup with a TM5402 and a tring card. I am willing to pay for other cards below ?500 but unsure as to what would be worth the cash to run aside Tring +.
                  I also like movies etc so could you help me with that issue ?
                  Sorry, but totally new to this.

                          Yes, you have a good box there (i have two of them) & with some decent contacts you may not even need a card.

                                  You looking at ?500 for a card (that, by the way, would be a years sub).

                                  No way. Not sure what a technomate 5402 does, but after a few years dithering, I got a Dreambox 800 HD. ~~~~ moi, why did I wait. You get more footy than you can shake a stick at.
