hi guys i want to weather proof the f plugs on my lnb as the sat engineer done a crap job

what is best.........

f plug moulded rubber boots or amalgamating tape?

i forked out an an expensive lnb and high grade cable and do mot want to get it weather damaged over winter so i need to do a good job.

as above amalgamating tape make sure you stretch it as you wrap it round.

ok cool, will get some tape. are there different grades of tape or is it all much the same?

you can get high voltage stuff but its thicker(and dearer)the cheap rolls from screwfix are ok.

If it's a single lnb, amalgamating tape.
If it's a quad, fill the f-plugs with silicone grease, screw them on and then smear the grease around the cable/f-plug area.
You won't have any problems.

ok cool i have a dual lnb so i will probably go with the silicon grease and rubber f boots
