If you don't need a twin tuner machine then save yourself a fortune and grab a clone DM800SE, it'll do everything you need and you'll not find a better supported machine anywhere else.

Dreambox 800SE has an immaculate image and it runs ccCam for your C lines, but currently it only supports a single tuner.

A multi-tuner is due to be released in November which will offer DVB-C/T/S all from a single tuner, also 2nd DVB-S2 support can be added via a usb tuner - although at this stage this is only a rumour.

sd quality on the duo is supposed to be awfull from what ive read but alot of it is personal opinion/tv being used/settings, although hd is great. 4 of the 5 channels are on the same txp, and only skai is on a different one so you could get away with a single tuner for recording and watching a different channel if you gave up skai in certain programme timing clashes. the duolabs q-box mini hd has twin tuners, runs on linux and can be bought for less than ?200. regards mdt

Well I took the plunge and went for a Clarke Tech ET9000 with 500gb HDD - with the Vix image.

Fingers crossed it is as good as the reviews suggest.
